Don’t interrupt me when I’m speaking.
Yes, yes and yes!!!!
I am not a religious person, nor am I an activist (in any sense of the word). I’m not posting this to “preach” either, although some may see it differently. I’ve recently reached the point where I have to say, “Enough is enough!” It seems there are people in the 21st century that insist the “rules” laid out in #Leviticus1822 and #Leviticus2013 still apply to our modern lives. Before you embarrass yourselves any further, let me please ask you to turn off your bullhorns and sit your asses down. These are rules that applied only to Israelites, early Jews of 2,000 years ago…rules in which they are told not to do as their oppressors have done! As the article points out, that included male temple prostitution…with NO MENTION of meaningful (I wish I could underline that word!) same sex relationships. If you believe those rules still apply, then surely you believe the rest of the “rules” laid out by Leviticus still apply? I also love what the article says about CONTEXT. “A text taken out of context is pretext.” Nothing in literature (yes, this includes the Bible) is ever “black-and-white,” except for the pages and ink. Here is where I’ll end this, as it’s getting late and I have work in the morning. #latenightthoughts #overthis #buhbye
